The Seller/Listing Agent could've countered the escalation, but that's usually a "tell" to the strength of the competing offers.

I think when you make 20 million dollars, you can start giving back and investing to your local community.I believe it comes down to values and individuality, and what you want to achieve from life.

This is a fine needle to thread because at this size, you very quickly start competing with high net worth individuals who are seeking summer homes. 

Current individual stock portfolio (non-retirement accounts) with holdings that might be volatile in the next few years (big tech & big oil). $51k is about 17% of the portfolio and gains on the stock holdings are already 100-200% (long-term).

@Max Yuan Hi Max how did you get Public notices and county data in bulk as most only allow you to search data individually.

I drop them and use a competent local RE agent, who did a great job.   

We have had much greater success renting a whole unit out that renting our individual rooms, though it has been nice to have some flexibilty to accomodate travelers who are coming as singlets and doublets.

You would need to comp them out (I use AirDNA premium) and underwrite each individually.

You also can sell individual lots instead of all together.
