This year I went on a motorcycle trip 3000 miles off-road through Patagonia with a guide, a mechanic and a support vehicle, it was a proper adventure absolutely epic.

City is home to seven Fortune 500 companies, including Procter & Gamble, Kroger, and Fifth Third Bancorp.

When they are gambling on a completed project, they want to know a battle tested captain is at or along side the wheel. 

I can share dozens of other stories of various real estate related "surprises" and "adventures" that I have been a part of over the last 13 years as I worked to grow my portfolio from that one duplex to just over 160 rental units today, but I think this post is long enough already!

The first rule of gambling is that no single loss can wipe you out.

For more adventurous ones - we have bought houses off of Craigslist, from foreclosure sales, from wholesalers , and even found a seller we were buying her house from had another one she was willing to sell us at the closing table!  

Once you have more than enough income stream from the US, taking some riskier gambles abroad may make sense.

Turn the activity into a forensic adventure.  

Considering the fact that you already have a lot of equity locked into MFH that's essentially sitting at ~5 caps, I would think about diversifying a little bit and try to pick up some decent quality C SF housing that is a gamble on appreciation but can have some stronger cash flow.
