Rebuilding will take time especially as critical infrastructure was lost, but they will rebuild. hopefully the authorities do what they can to expedite the rebuilding (ie issuing building permits, inspections, etc). 

The TREC promulgated forms are only authorized for licensed real estate agents.

@Katharina Bormann in my experience they don't like those official looking letters in the mail so make sure you do that and also have a cost associated with unresolved issues like trash in your lease. 

As anything will have to be authorized before the sheriff does it.

Oh, and that person is probably authorizing checks from a business account with much deeper pockets than any traveling medical professional.
