For our places, we went with higher end second hand stores and inexpensive antique stores.We really did not want a brand new hotel look and feel, that goes against everything that STRs are about to me.Good quality solid wood furniture, real artwork, knicknacks and swag with character.

These might include baseball cards, autographed art work etc. 

Maybe ask for something like a car, or artwork, or personal note rather than the fuss of servicing a mortgage?

The downstairs is full of hunting related artwork and pictures, duck decoys and calls, deer antlers and skulls, Labrador retrievers, and old ammunition boxes. 

The photos of the nondescript artwork and the poor night-time photography aren't helping the appeal.Just my $0.02.
