I was a civil engineer for 5 years, then switched careers to be an airline pilot. 

It is a very resilient investment climate as it is always going to turn cold in both North and South America, the snow will always fly and people will always want to escape to the warmer climate of the islands.There is amazing airlift with all major airlines flying here each and every day of the year thereby making TCI a four season destination.

Went through flight training (racked up lots of debt), went on to fly for the airlines (I never flew for the airlines however), then decided that wasn't for him and became and Air Traffic Controller in the FAA.  

I think it has the same travel benefits as the chase sapphire preferred, as well as the same 1:1 transfer to airlines.

I fly for the airlines making 6 figures with a certainty to make well over that in the near future and am still aggressively pursuing real estate investing.

Straight from the mouth of a commissioner he said you cant ask what the disability is, cant ask if the animal is trained, there is no limit on what type of animal it is and he brought up an example of a duck that was denied to fly on a plane and the lawsuit against the airline for it, cant ask anything other than fora  note from their medical professional....and that can be any type of medical professional.

I personally don't focus on airlines as I find every airline has a different hub etc and we move alot (military family).

If it wasn't for my job as an airline pilot to support my not-for-profit hobby of losing money I would have lost them all.

I'm also a pilot, so very cool on ATC, and my dad retired from the FAA just two years ago (got on with them after Eastern Airlines went out, where he was a pilot). 

We follow the southwest airlines models, we have smaller profit margins but have smaller expenses at the same time.Everyone has a their own niche and way to success.
