I’m a recent graduate from community college and currently a senior at George Mason University, majoring in Information Technology with a concentration in cloud computing.

Remember, this was a long time before we had use of the internet or anything else we think of as “technology” today1.

I self-managed from TX (my properties are in FL) 10 years ago when there was very little technological support other than the Airbnb platform, and I did just fine.  

Regardless of how real estate -ish we are here, there is a huuuuge technology component here, too.

.- Median Prices: Affordable compared to larger metros.Long-Distance Real Estate InvestingInvesting in properties in the Midwest while living in Los Angeles is feasible with modern technology.

Technology Concerns: I’ve heard mixed reviews about the technology solution offered and “pre-vetted” deals, with some saying it’s unreliable, expensive with hidden fees (e.g. finder’s fee on pre-vetted deal).

Networking and leveraging technology to streamline processes have been crucial for me as well. 

I've worked in technology sales/mgmt for 28 years and have done well, but probably need to work 5 more years to ensure a comfortable retirement and legacy for the kids.

Technology makes it so much easier to own properties remotely.
