If you are buying and then hoping to sell after taking title you likely have more costs so need more of a margin.What does then to happen is someone finding a solid deal but they want to milk it for everything it is worth.

If you try to milk 1 deal then there is nothing on the table for the next buyer (normally an investor).

Someone that is generally a jerk to the tenants and may look for opportunities to take advantage of them.S/he just doesn't care or actually is purposefully not repairing his buildings to milk the most amount of money out of them.I would say that where the property is located has nothing to do with being classified as a slumlord.

It’s sad but true, you really need to be a skeptic with every dollar that you spend because it seems that there is no shortage of people who try to sell you things that you don’t need, or simply skim your money out of a deal (like an insurance agent).
