The only exception is for on-site managers, like you'd find living in one unit of an apartment building and managing the building on behalf of the owner.

House hacking with an FHA loan (3.5% down) could be a smart way to start while minimizing living expenses.

Or if your'e living in it would you feel comfortable in that area.
