By early I mean I believe that the real estate is being bought up pretty quickly down there by ex-pats, investors and even some celebrities.  

I can't speak much to her experience level, but I did find out later that she was actually a minor celebrity in the area and was featured on a national reality TV show (not one related to real estate, and I don't want to give away too many details).Also if it matters, I found out during the closing process (which took another 2+ months) that the people who ended up buying the house were investors.  

Anyhow I'm a building contractor celebrating or 11 year in business.

People tend to celebrate and go on vacation.

If you buy homes that are 6 bed/bath and larger, you start tapping into all the normal, non-vacation travel such as reunions, business travel and meetings, celebrations, holidays, weddings, etc. 

I'm an avid homebrewer so I'm definitely biased here, but beer seems to be a near-universal way to celebrate a finished project.Another thing I'll do when time is of the essence is add a fun clause in my contracts.

A lot of hard work has taken a country from starvation in the 1960s to being a middle-country and we should celebrate this achievement.Is all this money bad locally?
