I'm currently gentrifying brooklyn and it's been going great lol.

SI is pretty cheap compared to brooklyn or Manhattan, so many people are willing to trade longer commutes for less rent ie 3k/month rent for small 1 bed 1bath in Manhattan to 1k/month similar size apartment in SI.

We recently cashed out of a Brooklyn condo, and the equity would go way farther as a couple of down payments in better value markets.  

i am a real estate agent and ive NEVER heard of any agent charging just to show you the property. here in Brooklyn NY every time i want to see a property i am interested (or just want to know if i am interested) in investing in i have never even heard of someone asking me to pay them just to show me the property. maybe it is different where you live but here no way!!

I am an investor based in Brooklyn New York and I own 12 SFH's in the Midwest.  

I'm a 25 year old software engineer and new real estate investor who's already taken the plunge and done their first deal: I recently closed on my first flip with my partner where we renovated and sold a 2-family in Brooklyn.  

But that is not the case....We are still waiting on the Brooklyn commissioner to sign off on it.
