I owned over 200 homes in south Jackson all Section 8 I had ZERO men as my tenants 100% single moms.. while I would love them to buy homes my interaction with them is the majority or 2nd 3rd generation welfare and really have ( as you rightly noted) no real sense on finances other than how to get the handouts how to work their cells phone etc etc.

I can tell you that their involvement is on the financing side only, as they work with local installer partners on the back end with the installer managing the customer relationship so Mosaic wouldn’t typically interact with the customer directly which might explain the gap in the line of communication.
