Be sure your house is completely dry via moisture readings all around before you treat for mold and hang sheet rock.I would also advise you to hire a profession to spray for mold and get a certificate.

Namely, the person who is being foreclosed on gave up ownership of the house several years ago via quitclaim to another person that does not appear to be a family member.I'm assuming this triggered the due on sale clause for the bank, even though that took years to actually occur.

I found a lot with a SFH home on it, but its been zoned for a Multi-Family.How could I execute a purchase, tear-down, build.I want to purchase the house for say $150K cashtear-down the propertybuild a new duplex(MF)refi into a VA Loan.FYI my goal is to use my VA Loan at whatever stage of the process to best minimize my cash outlays.The tear down in Question is in Troy, MI in the Athens High School boundaries

I do, however, advise waiting until you are able to find or create a great deal that you can afford before investing, and those type of deals don't just fall into your lap, you must work and actively seek them out ... the sooner and harder you start looking for them, saving for them, and educating yourself on how to spot and find them, then the sooner you will find them.
