Sometimes the best medicine is new surroundings and a fresh start:).I totally understand the emotional attachment to the house since it's the home you were raised in.  

I would love to invest in a student rental, but the surrounding college towns are struggling because of the population decrease in 18y/o in the state.

I would suspect it is overpriced or is a very nice home but not in nice surroundings.  

I don't know any more of the details surrounding that situation.

In order to be the best you have to surround yourself with the best.There are so many real estate companies on the market , If anyboby can advice what characteristics I would better pay attention for, I would be grateful.

I'm originally from Vermont and when got very serious with my goals I believed and knew that being from the 802 is not surrounding myself around like minded people with hustle.

Got a great loan deal from a local bank with only 20% down.Raised rents across the board about 200/mo per unit.Put another 100k into the common areas and exterior and in the units.Property is easily worth 1.6M.The location is superb in the LIttle Havana Sub market that is super hot and south of 8th street all surrounded by mostly small SFH's.The great deals are out there and they are off market.
