What women now really  want light, bright kitchens with on-trend painted wood cabinets!  

I agree with (mostly women) saying everyone wants a decent safe clean home.  

A women I work with is looking to unload her 3 unit in a college town.

Just playing devil's advocate, but one could make the argument that showing preferential treatment to military members is discriminatory to those who have a disability and to women. 

Oh, and remember, real estate used car salesmen/women, err “agents” always lie.  

Keep in mind legal doesn't always mean right.Just like saying you cannot discriminate based on Gender is designed to protect a woman’s right to lease/buy a home, we are not The Republic of Gilead after all, but this means you cannot only sell it to women or provide better terms to women or that would be discriminatory against men, right?

Of course, service men and women can break leases without consequence with change of station orders, so that makes it even less attractive.
