I think I'll call animal control on Monday, maybe anonymously.  

My tenant fears for his credit rating and is in narcotics anonymous which is a twelve step program.

These complaints can be anonymous but   should be specific. 

An LLC does not automatically protect your personal assets if something goes wrong - look up piercing the veil.That said, I believe an LLC can provide a limited degree of anonymity if that's what you desire.

I accept anonymous craigslist e-mail only at first.  

Some people will say a state based LLC owning the asset then an anonymous Wyoming LLC owning the state based LLC is the way to go, but others will say a state based LLC with an umbrella policy is best.

So the only association of your local LLC is this anonymous holding LLC.Another way to hide an LLC ownership is to have its owner as a personal property trust.

I can roll the dice and see what happens with the Dept of Environmental Health, but plan to call and ask what would happen anonymously, first.

And if they ask you point blank for the name and contact info for the owner, you just say, "Sorry, she insists on staying anonymous."
