We have seen tenants without electricity do crazy things, like: use candles for light (resulting in burns to kitchen cabinets, candle wax in carpet, and removal of beeping smoke alarms); run an extension cord from a neighbor's patio to a power strip in which they plugged in more extension cords to lamps, the refrigerator and the gas stove (for the digital display).

The newer nicer buildings look worse at  first but a true realistic pro forma based on life cycles of everything imaginable from carpets to refrigerators to roofs etc, paints a different picture.  

Also, didn’t see a refrigerated air conversion.

We purchased two laundry sets, a range, and two refrigerators ... just shy of $3500.00.If we had used a 2% cash back credit card, I would get a kickback of $70.00, but still need to take the $3500.00 out of reserves within a month to pay off the credit card.

I've managed to keep my refrigerator working and in good condition for 18 years, so far.

I m angry right now because I had to evict a tenant and she took my refrigerator and new garage roll up door. 

My girlfriend and I have set monthly savings goals using the refrigerator method and have saved double each month that we've expected, despite moving.

A dry unit has no refrigerant in it.
