We have properties in Tacoma & Des Moines, and flipped throughout King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties.

And quit claiming deed does NOT pierce the veil.

Margie Pierce I would encourage you to dig deeper into the permitting issue.

Because I was living in the property and managing the property myself - a very sane and practical way to run a house-hack, in my opinion - It would have been very easy for a lawsuit to pierce the corporate veil.In other words, if I had wanted to receive the protections of an LLC, I would have had to not manage the property, and I would have had to have had something real to protect.

Get to know the landlord-tenant laws in Washington, their are differences between King and Pierce County as well as some municipalities, like Tacoma.
