In this transaction you 'enabled' your IRA to get into the deal which it could not do on it's own.

To answer your question about the goals I have regarding my interest in real estate investing I would say that I'm most interested in building up enough of a cash flow to cover all my bills and enable a greater freedom in the way I live my life.
