Hey @DaVontaye Jordan - lots to unpack here but I agree, its strange for the landlord or property management to not provide a ledger or atleast a break down of the balance that may be owed so you can decipher how much you're truly owing.

We abide by the HUD General Counsel Guidance published April 4, 2016.No outstanding balances for previous rentals, medical, and student debt we tend to be okay with, don't want to see a lot of outstanding collections in general.

The folks at mass save said there is a new program as of 2023 that offers $5000 per unit for knob and tube remediation and said I could take a heat loan of max $10,000 per unit as well for the balance so I am hoping that is true.
