During those events, big name acts sometimes play at their friends backyard parties as a favor and for the love of music. 

Music superstar Blake Shelton has a lakefront property, and has been spotted numerous times at local beaches and surrounding areas. 

Cathedral City was atrocious at enforcing their existing ordinance, it seems a very common theme that when an area with lots of pool homes on smaller lots does a very poor job of enforcing their ordinance, there is sufficient backlash that a ban or near-ban may happen>Neighboring La Quinta has recently changed their rules to make fines steeper, no longer allow any amplified music/sound outside, and yank peoples licenses quicker for non-compliant homes. 

There's no beer at MRD, but we can discuss alternative meeting places further if that's an issue for folks (only requirements would be to avoid live music so we can actually hear each other!).

People will make money but it's a game of musical chairs with those areas and on the down turn those will implode like last time.    

The tenant in the basement moved in two months ago and has been pretty problematic, including two prior noise complaints from the unit above him for blasting music until 1 am within the last month.

If you get 3 complaints about ANYTHING, garbage can left out, music in the back yard, basically anything they SHUT you down forever and the 3 strikes goes on your house, not just you.

If I had the capital to invest in my backyard, I would find something in Indio near where the music festivals are.

Bar & Grill has  the best Mexican food in the area, and of course they carry Muscle Vodka!
