This is why it's important for Landlords to actually run a credit/criminal background.

Can you still have minimum qualifications for credit score, income (if they receive a partial voucher), and criminal background?

@Rick Amos Depending on the set up of the entity and your process, you and your investors could have the following risks in some form or another;  Cyber Liability, Crime, Fiduciary Liability, Errors and Omissions, Discrimination.  

I had an incident where damages occurred due to criminal activity by the tenant and I am taking them to court.

You cannot he held criminally liable for the actions of others.

Homestead exemptions are only for your primary residence (putting it on more is sometimes a criminal charge).

@Dorothy Monette we have military, cyber command, NSA, industry, medical, university, manufacturing, etc.  

@Brad E.Just make sure that whoever you work with is using bank level encryption and has a perhaps has a cyber-insurance policy in place.
