I'm in New Berlin right now which is a bit too rich for my blood at this point, but it got me considering Milwaukee more if I found a better neighborhood that had a bit cheaper homes.

rental properties w/ gov't-subsidized interest rates is historically unheard of and unprecedented (unless you look back at Feudal Europe and you are of noble blood and trying to build a castle and you helped the King win his last war against France or whatever). 

I think they even asked for a blood sample somewhere in there, sandwiched between all the financial statements & documentation.

@Syed Rizvi @Eric GuiltinanHUD does allow for non-occupied co-borrowers on FHA loans but (typically) only when there is a blood or marriage relationship between the applicants.
