I always thought that was an option if the owner wanted to bring the house out of the flood zone by getting some sort of elevation certification saying the house itself is above the 100 year flood plane and therefore does not need flood insurance.

You'll save yourself money on plane tickets, agitation, and time.   

I sell the Florida Panhandle, but we have agents in 16 markets.I vote that you invest down here because we have a direct flight all year-round from Nashville to ECP, making it easy to hop on a plane if you don't have time to drive.
