The logical side of me says this is stupid since there are so many gas stoves out there and if this was a real threat they wouldn’t be.

A syndicator can be exposed to Work Comp, Fiduciary claims, General Liability, Cyber, etc.    

There were a few at $900K a couple years ago, but now they are well over $1M.There is also a threat that STR will be banned.

This is not a threat.

Engaging in acts of violence or threats of violence, including but not limited to the unlawful discharge of firearms, prostitution, criminal street gang activity, intimidation, or any other breach of the Lease that otherwise jeopardizes the health, safety or welfare of the Landlord, his Agents or Tenants. 

That way if someone successfully sues you for an incident at one LLC, the others are not under threat as well. 

The threat of being evicted is a nice  motivator .  

And same thing as @Bruce Woodruff mentioned our place in Vegas is right next to a big open space and the Coyotes are the threat there. 

@Mario Gonzalez Don’t ever be scared of a shaky contractor threatening to place a lien…..it’s a bully threat made by many scammer type contractors.
