I always recommend folks seek legal advice in important entity matters such as this, but with the caveat that most attorneys mirror your thoughts and theory.  

I've always liked the look of separate vanities, but I wouldn't do it unless:1) It fit the style/theme of the house and worked well with the other bathroomsof2) There was ample bathroom counter space elsewhere, such as in a dedicated makeup vanity where a mirror/lighting was still available.
