Buy struggling golf courses in dry environments (much of the southwest), shut it down due to financially not viable due to rising costs of water and declining golf interest, start syndication, develop the golf course with combination of retail and commercial.  

A few hundred meters South West of me though house prices drop 150k in addition to the two seemingly comparable areas being entirely different in terms of tenant base and buyer desirability.

With 13 vacation rentals in Southwest fFlorida, I can tell you are very happy as well as cash flow positive.I won't fool you, they are work.But where else to you get all the money for the rental up front before they set foot on property?

@Chris -- My wife and I just relocated to Syracuse from South West Florida... quite the market change.

Denver is a hub for both United and Frontier, and Southwest has quite a few flights.That said, I'm always up for any reasonable excuse to go to Vegas.

If Detroit truly "comes back" ( at least Downtown, Corktown, Midtown, Southwest, Brush Park) then they are going to transition from being millionaires to being billionaires.

Not sure if you want to continue doing anything with nuclear, but there's a big plant southwest of Fort Worth.
