Beside the government regulation and insurance shutting down certain markets, STR industry will continuously grow.

We took an Ag zoning to Commercial then allowed a Special Use to Self Storage which is Industrial. 

There are Class A industrial projects underway and the development of a large retailer.

Brokers have their place in the industry as do retail banks/mortgage bankers.

Additionally, I've been spending a lot of time evaluating condo / HOA management solutions and accidentally stumbled on ManageCasa, which offers a free trial and < 3 unit free tier that has allowed me the time to get in, kick the tires, and really appreciate their attention to detail and broad feature set that adapts to each unique industry sector.

Credit Karma uses a Vantage scoring model (which we do not use in the mortgage industry), but the trend will be the same as mortgage scores. 

Networking plays a crucial role in this industry and remember to keep learning continuously.

Apparently, because rates increased here so astronomically in the last 2 years, the insurance industry believes their numbers are correct with the risk.If you have the correct coverage @Marc Shin, you should be covered (although you should also have budgeted or baked-in costs for minor issues/damage).
