I was in a hurry to get to my son's Volleyball tournament and wanted to get the post in before the weekend to hopefully get some feedback (which I did!) 

There is great traction in the PS area year round and high demand during the festivals and tennis tournaments.

(golf tournaments, classic car show, a charity, or other Spring time events) I've watched Million Dollar Listing before trying to get ideas, and have seen them do wine and cheese parties, other tie ins with businesses in the neighborhood, etc.. 

North Myrtle Beach is doubling the size of their athletic complex to accommodate larger tournaments, which will bring in hundreds more families.  

Each girl was responsible for $150 a month to cover the costs of practice gym and tournament fees.

We even have the Canseco brothers coming and playing in our tournaments!

Despite not having one, Greensboro is known as the "Tournament Town" hosting events like the NCAA basketball game and the ACC Basketball tournament.Greensboro is also benefitting from some large company investments.

(I'm thrifty- I paid over $600 to go to Excaliburs' Tournament of Kings Jousting last night in Vegas!)

My older son wanted to play on a different travel soccer team, but the cost was over $1000 more for the year, plus they do weekend tournaments hundreds of miles away.

I use Wheelhouse to price my listings and I would say my prices were pretty competitive and I was averaging $360 ADR but take into account this factors in Coachella music festival, tennis tournament rates where rates are much higher as you already aware.
