Houses with peeling up roof shingles are simple enough, but those with peeling paint on wood trim might not be sufficient to mail a letter?

Due to shingle darkening over time the shingles is not close to the originally color so some do not like it.

Kinda hard to say without a pic.Tearing off shouldn't be expensive, a sawzall, draw out some options to trim it out and see.Would it just look better with composite shingles, getting rid of the tile?

Obviously, the construction crew who replaced the roof felt that it was strong enough to support their weight, the plywood sheeting and the shingles.

Of course its a bit more expensive but it sounds like you only need to replace the sheathing and shingles if the rafters are fine.

At least you can estimatete life and save up for them------ although I did have a tenant's kids get up on a roof and pull off the shingles, chop holes in the roof deck, and spray paint grafitti.
