The LLC is there to protect you from liability when doing business by SEPARATING your business from your personal.

Are all 4 units metered for gas and electric separately or on master meter? 

For me, and I know it adds some complications, but I actually wanted to separate my business accounts from my personal. 

In some places, from what I read in Forbes, even a finished outbuilding might be noted separately rather than rolled into the main house’s footprint.
