Some properties are selling in 1-2 weeks, and some are taking months to sell.

Will it actually only take 10 days, or potentially month(s)?

I've seen appraisers go out 5+ miles on comps on these rural properties, sometimes go far as back as 24 months.

Also if he does have a home, can't get get a HELOC to borrow money to cover the rent?
