Why do some people drive Chevys and some Fords....price/quality/style/prestige?   

Take Rivian as an example which is currently valued at 147 billion dollars, keep in mind this company has sold less than 200 vehicles which were all prototypes, that means a supposed tech car company that does not have a proven model (yes its backed by large mega-corps, but keep in mind GM almost bought Nikola recently before it was uncovered to be a complete scam), is somehow valued at more than 2x the likes of Ford Motor Company and GM.

Karnes County, for example was regarded as one of the poorest in the state around that time; however, it is now one of the richest due to the Eagle Ford Shale Oil Boom.

They created a page long document labeled "Streetname Notice" and proceeded to write that Ford was looking to expand into the area and that in the near future homes were going to be re-evaluated for future employee housing (The way it was described to me didn't make much sense).

Best one I have ever witnessed was a washing machine strapped to the hood of an old Ford LTD.now I'm wondering why I have a  truck when obviously I have a couple very capable material haulers.

Just because your first car was a Ford, that doesn't lock you into the Ford dealership for life.
