I'm based in WI and there are several people from NY investing here, some successful and some not---the common thread I see from the ones that are not is that they relied on someone else for information instead of investigating, VERIFYING and doing their own due diligence. 

I have successfully used a home warranty before and was grateful that I bought the plan.

That's how I became so successful as an investor agent.

From what I read, I think you are on track for success. 

You'd be surprised to learn that someone living in a rental or apartment, that has a family and is a successful small businessman, has the money and is willing to take that deal.

I had some success in doing a house hack short term rental with my first property and wanted to continue growing my portfolio.

The loft is very successful on Airbnb and people love the main house for long term rental.
