Well I could find no evidence of such. 

But ya know who DOES.... ya know who IS in a position to be influenced and "bought", because there is another candidate in this thing who's not only VERY susceptible to such but tied at the hip to a person who's SOOOOO tied up in bribery and pay-off's that the #1 problem is actually solidifying the evidence because he's so damn practiced at it that even when it's glaringly OBVIOUS to all he still finagles ways to hide it all.

Most of the Standard Exceptions on an Owner's Title Policy will be deleted if certain title evidence is provided at closing.

Make sure that you have a clear case for all of those repairs: before and after pictures, move-in form, etc The more evidence you have against them, the easier it will be to proof if they decide that they don't agree with your deduction. 

I've found that when you push back using a logical argument based on evidence, you tend to get blank stares.
