They should be using a net rental income analysis which would produce an income figure specific to each property based on your reporting on Sched E.

I am also a R/E investor as well with multiple properties and continuing to grow and scale.

So the good news is that there are currently two full-amenity condo buildings in/near downtown Chicago in prime A+ Class neighborhoods that allow short-term rentals: 545 N Dearborn and 30 E Huron.
