We were still able to cook normally with our propane stovetopWood-Fired Stove: not sure if your cabin includes a wood stove/pellet stove or if this is a feasible option for heatFilling the bathtubs with water before a winter storm: and voila you can flush toilets, include a big stock pot for warming up waterIf there's a spare small closet or cabinet you can lock (and have guests access via a lockbox) with winter storm supplies for your guests such as gallons of water, camp food packs, emergency solar/windup charger for phones, matches, etc to help them weather the first few days and save your booking that may be helpful as well.

I wouldn't be concerned about where the stove is.

I’m looking for suggestions or information on how difficult and expensive it would be to move gas lines to relocate the stove a few feet over.

I'm a new landlord, I have a tenant who has always had issues with the stove.

I'm told that Section 8 are such sticklers and make demands of landlords for simple things that like toilet seats and knobs on stoves being repaired. 

Why not put in electric stoves?

The stove upstairs was supposed to be stainless steel but was not, and had a questionable start up during the inspection (loud bang).My main gripe was simply the potential pitfall of having to spend a lot of cash really fast on the property.
