Are you asking for pure opinions or has there been some cause of concern? 

My lender is one the top 10 national banks by assets (can’t reveal who due to privacy concerns).

At this stage of my life (71) years old and more concerned with estate planning than career advancement, my top priority is asset preservation on an INFLATION ADJUSTED basis.

Again, a lender must be able to speak to these options in order to guide the client and even measure out how to approach their needs and concerns appropriately. 

However, I will be moving into the property and doing a substantial renovation so can evict and reset rents to market.My concern is not the short term risk of rent control as I have ways around that (mentioned above).

I see TWO major concerns with getting preforeclosure data from aggregators like PropStream:1.

It's tough to call out scam artists or anyone without committing libel or slander.Maybe have a sticky that warns in general of this, and encourage people to post their concerns and specifically ask advice from the more veteran members on here.

If you do want to transfer the title, you have to be mindful of your lender and willingess to cooperate, be prepared to pay transfer taxes based on the assessed value and other deed preparation & recording fees.Assuming liability protection is the primary reason, what events have recently transpired that have you concerned? 

What incentives and concerns do you have?

So I’m curious, I know you’re just funding it, but given the clear concern’s you don’t worry about liability?
