There are other states that do variations of one or the other or both.

On the other end of the spectrum, I've worked with incompetent agents who really struggled to deal with even the most basic variations when it comes to the insurance products.

Mine are always worded with some variation of: you represent me and are entitled to a commission on any property which you present to me (unless I already have that property from another source) or any property on which I ask you to repersent me.Since I try to never have two reators who cover the same area, the "already presented" exception usually only comes into play for FISBOs that just got listed.
