As Julie's said, these can be fairly high sometimes.One last point of mention, we'd rented out a Townhouse in the past, and the main headache that we had was the neighbors in the bordering unit complaining about the slightest sound that came from our tenants (and this wasn't wild parties kind of noise - we're talking kids playing).

Like I said, 50 year old panels are still out there in the wild producing electricity (albeit much less than when they were new), and newer panels are built to last much longer and can be expected to continue producing electricity for 40-50 years easily, replacing the energy it took to produce them many times over.

I will take a wild guess and say that property management companies charge 6% to 9% for monthly fees for management and collecting the rents and additional fees may increase the total costs to 9% to 11% of the gross rental income.

@Tchaka Owen thanks for that insight Tchaka, thats nuts. reminds me of our market here in Toronto/GTA Canada - where Appreciation have been going wild - and spreading outside to the outskirts where properties used to be 250k and have tripled (minimum) over the past 3-4 years alone.
