I have had a lot of success riding my bike near my house and making note of the tall grass, peeling paint and so forth.

When they don't allow peeling paint, they will most likely take a strong stand on termite damage.

Coming from divorced parents i saw how hard it was on everyone and as a mom trying to make sure you make the right decision for your son and his well.My suggestion, I know the condo may be small but if it's in a safe neighborhood for your son keep paying rent at the condo and keep your eyes peeled for the right deal. $80k is a good amount to have to start investing with.

It feels so weird, I feel like it's no big deal with the virus long as the worker wears proper hygiene protection like masks and gloves possibly a hazmat suit but maybe it's best to wait and see since it's not an urgent repair.

The advantage to doing this is they are a peel and stick installation (over a plastic underlayment) and can be easily cut to size.

The big thing here right now is the Lead Ordinance, there's a few posts here on BP about that, so you have to consider that when looking at properties. www.toledoleadsafe.com However, if you're not looking at junk properties with peeling paint all over the place and windows that have been painted 5 times, you'll probably be OK.
