I don't think less people are moving to Austin...it's still avg ~180 people a day if I'm not mistaken.

@Robin Y Hughes I may be mistaken since I have yet to do STR, but aren't you just responsible for your property and properly representing it? 

If the accountant is referring to using Form 8825, then I'd say the new accountant is mistaken.

I *think* they have 1,500 properties under management but I may be mistaken.  

Secondly, I was under the impression that after 5 years of owning a home with mortgage insurance and living in it for at least 2 of those years you could simply call up your mortgage company and request the mortgage insurance to be taken off.Am I sadly mistaken about the information above or am I somewhere in the ball park but simply misguided?

My personal feeling (and I am mistaken in most of my predictions) is FED slows the rate and starts rate drop this year.
