Occasionally I catch some cleanliness issued that I am not satisfied with which I believe is due to variability in attention to detail between people on their crew, or lack of training and familiarity with my property.I've seen mentions of the value of post cleaning pictures from hosts on other forums.

I have also been talking with some people in the business.

I sat in on a lot of the meetings with owners/city and it seems for the most part to me, the city is just not interesting in AirBnB and as an investor, that's not a good place to be or be right.There will always be probably a few people who skirt the law or think they have a good workaround, but often catch 22. 

Many people are actually cash out refinancing and LOOSING the great interest rates they have on their 1st mortgage.

People carry too much debt and even if the debt was forgiven or paid off, incomes don't match affordability. 

People will confirm wanting to stay at your unit....you guessed it. :)  But all of those bring you closer to the lead that books *and pays you*.Best of luck.

@Jay Hinrichs has posted on that in the past.Many people like to try and hide their identity because of the spotlight effect which refers to how people often overestimate how much others notice (or care about) them, effectively inflating their own importance in society. 

And the condo debacle in FL will be churning for quite a while as these rogue HOAs try to get realistic with deferred maintenance, new requirements, and freedom for people to use as they need to afford them.One thing to consider would be to 1031 all of them in a consolidation exchange. 

Do you really blame them for paying people threatening them with late fees or repossession before you?

Obviously do your own research before asking people on Facebook, but just another way to connect with hosts and see what they do and how they file those STR taxes and maybe some additional helpful info.
