I was able to secure tenants for both units and used quite a bit of advice from this platform as well as other landlords I know.

Buyers were able to secure properties in their desired destinations of Manzanita, Arch Cape and Yachats Oregon. 

Are you a mom and pop landlord whose most likely risk is a premises liability claim likely covered by insurance or a small claims suit for return of a security deposit?

Do not EVER use the security deposit for repairs or rent while the tenant lives in the rental.

If you accept applicants with no social security number or the ability to read and understand a lease agreement, then you shouldn't require a social security number from anyone.Two thoughts:1.

Reason for keeping it is to keep skin in the game in case we want to relocate back to our hometown (wife likes the security).

I signed up for both a couple months ago and basically bounced back and forth between the two to see if I was presented with duplicate data, and often times I was, but the data that was contradictory was alarming. 

We found a tenant, signed a lease and collected the security deposit with a July 15 move in date. 

Man Ontario is tough on landlords.Can't charge application fees, can't collect security deposits and I've heard it can easily take a year to evict for nonpayment.Yikes!
