Housing inspections are only needed for Section 8 rentals in Baltimore City.Maryland’s Reduction of Lead Risk in Housing law requires owners of rental properties built before 1978 to register their units with Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), this requires a Lead Paint Inspection by a licensed 3rd party.

Unless you are very well funded this whole process will be pretty hard, especially if you are looking to do this on a consistent bases.In todays environment, you really need to figure out how to go directly to the owners of dears.

Chris Mason great heads up on that, no experience vetting lenders yet, so I will watch out for that and start learning more about red flags in that department.  

Also, this can be taking a leadership role at your University if that is in the business department or elsewhere.

The contracts for every state are different, and can usually be found on the state's Department of Real Estate website.

John,you can not order them off the premises but,you can encourage them to go out to lunch or do errands while the inspection is taking place.Give them a written notice on exactly when you will arrive and depart the property and suggest they find something else to do because the inspection will be hectic and disruptive to them.Offer them a gift card to Olive Garden or something to pay for lunch.

She filed a complaint against us to the department of human rights saying we discriminated against her and believe the section 8 program is a scheme.
