He added that Trane furnaces are what he recommends but if I want to save a few hundred dollars I can buy an Ameristar Furnace as it's made by Trane (but isn't as sleek-looking, which accounts for the discount) - but he stated it's of the same quality.

A 988sf roof w/ a 6/12 pitch is only 1,105 square feet of roofing w/ a 10% material waste that's ~12 squares of shingles.Roof Quantity CalculationOakridge roofing shingles are $140/sq at Lowes.12 squares*$140/square = $1,680 in shingle materials + a few hundred dollars of underlayment and flashings, so there shouldn't be more than $2,000 in materials.So in other words your Contractor has quoted you $9,000 for labor for a roofing job that will likely take a crew of 3-4 guys one to two days tops.

Some of my properties were insured and after hurricane Irma and a few close calls with tenants threatening to sue, I decided that I needed asset protection and began looking at Anderson advisors and Companies Incorporated for advice and strategies to protect current assets and avoid losing substantial portion of the inherited trust due to a tenant threatening to sue because a cabinet fell on her.

Some of the larger expenses-Interior/Exterior Paint, Storm shutters for a few of the front large windows, added additional cabinets to one unit,  New refrigerator from Dent/Scratch store after old one died,  Laundry units that tenant pays +$50/mo for etc.
