Also, I'm on the list for our local community college to attract longer term guests.  

I live in Dallas and have been looking to become more a part of the RE investing community.

So visiting the property could have some value, depending on your goals of the visit.I have hosted investor tours at properties in the past, where we dedicate time with our investors and the community manager to walk the property so they can see their investment, as well as talk about current operations, how the business plan in going, and allow them to meet people on the team that they invested with. 

I'm looking at a community for people to move into and support each other, move of a progressive retirement type community, but we will not be in the city limits.I have thought about pulling one up beside my house and renting it;)

I'm glad the community was able to help you make a stronger lease to avoid issues later in your investing career and that everything worked out for this situation.

Example - I owned a community center I needed to sell that I had picked up in foreclosure.

They are all purchasing deals that this community wouldn't have loved two years ago, or buying in cash.
