So 6 months from now id be bad debt free as my student loan is a mortgage for 30 years at like $100 a month.

The idea is to buy a home and then rent the rooms out to other students. 

I am now finishing up one property that is ideally located as a furnished rental catering to the travel nurse profession. 

I can definitely see some deferred maintenance on the building, but the business operation seemed smooth and profession on the surface.

Good AfternoonLet me first start by saying im a first time investor and have begin dipping my feet in to the investment world, I purchased a property near a college that the numbers seem to work and would make a good student rental, I thought that purchasing the home with cash and free and clear would be a good option and to work the refinance for the repairs and upgrade to the home, its not going to take much but there in lies the rub!

These jobs are often business graduate students that gets      ~ $15 bucks a hour in Silicon Valley and a bonus for successful deal making.

I am a currently student at Columbia University and an aspiring real estate business person.

I heard a BP podcast where a guy started out by doing this in a 3 br condo, renting out the other rooms to 2 college students for $400 per room.Thanks!
