So the check valve would have to be in the section of pipe that exits from that drain inlet, so that no further back flow occurs.And a French drain system with sump pump will be needed to deal with the water seepage through the walls due to hydrostatic pressure.Although proper grading and gutters are a good idea, the hydrostatic pressure would not be cured by either of those.

I didn't want the aggravation and just waited until she was out to see what happened.Definitely have an attorney write your lease; you could have posted Cure or Quit notices for just about everything you listed they were doing and possibly gotten rid of them sooner.
