It is not uncommon for Boards, driven by the desire to keep their own monthly fees low, and with complete disregard for what is actually in the best interest of ALL of the Owners, to "adjust" the monthly fees to their liking at budget time, in a completely arbitrary manner, for many years...until they have no choice but a Special Assessment or big loan to make badly needed repairs.

Each of my LLCs will be treated as a disregarded entity for tax purposes so I do not have to file taxes for each but instead do a single tax for all the investment properties (there will be some exceptions though).

You have to have stayed in a property for months and months without paying rent while the court proceedings are taking place and to me that just demonstrates a blatant disregard for you as the landlord.
