These are NOT peel and stick tiles, they are about 1/8" thick and they are commonly used in commercial installs.

So if this does away with the "orange peel" look that multiple paint layers can have, I'm interested. 

Snap the off-cuts and peel them away, leaving the front-face paper intact. 

He put a sticker over it, but when he moved, the owner peeled the sticker and charged him to repair the hole.

Hand her the respirator and let her know she will have to wear that while she is in the unit for at least 72 hours and the tub people will be there in the morning, unless she's not comfortable with the mask.  

@Chris Piper if you hold real estate in a trust and there is a lawsuit I can guarantee that the other party's lawyer will have peeled back the layers of it and found you before you know there is a lawsuit.

Did not get an application from that one ...Now you do have to be mindful of distinguishing deferred maintenance issues (peeling paint on woodwork / walls) from neglect / abuse / carelessness / failure to keep tidy and clean.

There are basic things like you'd expect: running hot and cold water, operational windows, some kind of vent in the bathroom, no peeling paint, etc.
